The Armoire Series (AR68) has the most versatile pieces in the YT line of workstations. The AR68-OCM (the range shown here) is the only YT unit that can conceal a full size cooktop as well as an oven and microwave oven/ hood. Due to its heavy duty door suspension system, this beautiful unit is more costly than all the other YT units but it is useful when a range needs to be completely concealed from view. Equipped with various sized full extension overlay drawers as well as overhead storage concealed by overlay doors, this unit features ample worktop space as well as a slot for cutting boards or cookie sheets. Only 30" electric glass top cooktops can be used, but most non-commercial ovens (up to 27") that are rated for installation under a cooktop can be used. Typically, this requires the ovens and cooktops to be rated by U.L. to be compatible with each other, which usually means that the appliances must be made by the same manufacturer.
Similar in size to this unit, the AR68-P (Pantry) is YT's largest working pantry with its volumous exposed shelving, full extension pull-out trays and enormous worktop. As with all the other YT working pantries, this unit is ideal for concealing small appliances that are ready for use on the worktop. Oversized cooking vessels and infrequently used items such as waffle irons, crock pots etc. as well as food or dishes can be stored on the open shelves above the worktop or in pull-out trays below. And its bi-fold doors eliminate the expensive door hardware described above.
Other Armoire units, the AR68-H (Hospitality) units, are designed as dry or wet bars, or refreshment centers for the home or office. Any 24" wide undercounter refrigerator and / or 18" wide icemaker can be concealed behind its doors. See the 25" Sink Selection Sheet for ordering the available sink.
Similar in size and shape to the Armoire Series, The Unit Kitchen (UK68) is the only YT piece that can accommodate all the functions of a kitchen into one piece. It is designed to fulfill the need for an auxiliary or limited production kitchen. It is appropriate for hotel suite or office hospitality centers, studio apartments, game rooms, or other multi-functional rooms that require a full kitchen to be concealed in a limited space. They provide a beautiful solution for Senior Citizen's communities that provide group dining for most meals, but still require a full kitchen in each apartment for breakfast or snack preparation. Due to its heavy duty door suspension system, this beautiful unit is more costly than other YT units, but it is the most appropriate unit available when a small kitchen needs to blend in with other living areas.
The UK68-CSR-MH includes a smooth top 2 burner cooktop, (that provides extra worktop space when its burner are not in use) an undermounted sink, an under-the-countertop refrigerator/freezer and a convection-microwave/hood. Thermal ovens and dishwashers are not available because they eliminate most of the remaining storage space needed for dishes and cooking vessels. Garbage disposals are optional, but they too reduce valuable storage space.
