Selecting Workstations: The Process
You know a good thing when you see it. You appreciate beauty, balance, proportion, grace and style, and you are not willing to compromise functionality. But above all, you value the quality of your life.
And that’s why we created YesterTec. Our furniture is only the means to an end. A beautiful, personalized place to live in is the real goal. So please let us help you create a room that is filled with the qualities that bring you comfort!
Direct to you from our Factory in Pennsylvania!
Perhaps the best value that we can give you is our Factory Direct Planning Service that will help you discover the most appropriate design solution that utilizes our workstations. If you send us your floor plans, we can help you design your new room. We’ll quote prices directly to you! Our workstations are more costly per lineal foot than normal cabinetry, but we’ll show you why you need fewer lineal feet to complete a kitchen.
We can even show you how our top-of-the-line workstations can actually save you money!
How do you get started? YesterTec’s founder, David Beer, an experienced residential architect, knows the design and building process and has structured YesterTec’s Factory Direct planning process to be easy and fun for you. We work directly with homeowners, builders, designers and architects.
First thing to do?
- Call us, ask for David. A short discussion can determine whether Workstations are your best choice.
- Determine if we are in your price range. We can generally give you starting and average prices for most of our pieces right over the phone.
- Then you will need our designer’s catalog, available for $10. (Sorry, no credit cards) The catalog contains all the information you’ll need to select and style your workstations.
- If we have your floor plan of the project area, we can create computer drawn examples of how your room could look. You can send your plans by mail, fax or in PDF format by E-mail.
- Once you’ve made your selections, we can give you an exact quote. This can all be done very quickly!
- You can then approve the final order, send us a deposit, and we’ll immediately start building your order. Typically, our production schedule is between 10 and 12 weeks. Large orders can take a bit more time.
- Next, just relax! We’re handling the details!
Here’s what you’ll receive!
We provide all the pieces of furniture, most are shipped fully assembled in one or two pieces, the largest are shipped ‘broken-down’ into a few smaller pieces that can be easily transported and re-assembled on site. We send finished countertops complete with all cutouts, holes and polished edges, built-in lighting and sinks, and we can provide appliances as well, or you can buy them locally. We provide the information you need to pre-plan the utility connections before your pieces arrive. All pieces are protected and blanket wrapped and shipped on air-ride furniture vans. Typically, you will need a few people to unload and move the pieces inside. Some of the workstations are larger than normal cabinetry so proper access routes need to be planned in advance. Installing them typically takes less time than installing cabinetry, but it is recommended that the installer is a finish carpenter or cabinet installer. That said, some homeowners with only a basic set of tools have installed their own workstations! Remember, it’s just furniture!
A word about the Heirloom Quality of our Hand-built Workstations.
Heirloom quality means that the materials and finishes and the construction methods we use are as durable as they are beautiful. Our furniture is built much stronger than cabinetry because it must have the ability to be moved over and over again during its service lifetime. Solid wood and plywood-veneered construction is used instead of paper, foil or vinyl faced particle board. Dovetail drawers, full-extension under-mounted drawer slides and solid wood, high-sided roll-out trays are standard features that add to the efficient storage capacity of our pieces. Our finish is a tough catalyzed conversion varnish, with a sheen that resembles a soft waxed finish. Our patented, U.L. Listed technology systems have been tested for longevity and exceed all standards. And they are modular, so that they can be easily replaced should the need arise. In short, we cut no corners when it comes to quality and innovation. Like one of our clients said, "There are two types of kitchens; YesterTec and everyone else!"
We hope you will visit our website’s Press Room and Design Solutions pages to discover why YesterTec Workstations work so well, and cabinetry simply can’t compete.
